For instance, only 6.8%, 16.4% and 19.1% consist of women in Marine Corps, Navy, and Air Force respectively (Women in the Military Statistics, 2013). From this, it is evident that a small number of women get promoted to higher ranks in military. Just like men, women have also leadership positions in the military. This is evidenced by the number of female generals and admirals in the military.
